Hurley Pro Trestles Competitors get MyGo Mouth Mount

The top professional surfers came to show off their talents at Trestles during the Hurley Pro. The final came down to Jordy Smith and John John Florence, who both surfed a great heat. Jordy got the edge and became the 2014 Hurley Pro Champion!
We were excited to see that the MyGo Mouth Mount for GoPro was given as a gift to all of the competitors in their locker. Peter Mel showed off the locker room and showed off CJ Hobgood's locker.

GoPro of the Winter - Winner

Jamie O'brien (@whoisjob) won the @GoPro of the Winter this year, and the $20,000 prize to go with it. Of the top 5 clips selected by the judges, 4 were filmed using homemade mouth mounts. This view has become increasingly popular in Surfing. Jamie said that, "it all starts from the preparation of your gear" when talking about capturing the wave of the winter. Having the battery charged and the right accessories is essential to getting good GoPro® footage.
Jamie also said, "once you start collecting clips, it's addicting." This is what we believe and know at MyGo Mount. It's extremely fun and addicting to capture a good shot to have for yourself and to share with your family and friends.

Brett Barley Mouth Mount Footage
Brett Barley is one of those dedicated surfers who manages to overcome his geographical limitations (North Carolina - NOT North Shore Oahu) by constantly diving into swell and wind charts, having an in-depth knowledge of the surrounding breaks, and having his equipment (including his GoPro® and mouth mount) ready to go at a moment's notice.
The result of his hard work and preparation is highlight reel after highlight reel of deep chocolaty barrels that gets the rest of us wondering if we should add N.C. to our list of surf trip destinations. The guy makes it look easy, and has graciously shared his view with us.

Alex Gray - Turkey Melt - GoPro Hero 3
Do you like barrels? I advise that you watch Slaber Nackle on Alex Gray's website Turkey Melt. It is a collection of "a fist full of slabs across the planet." In one of the best shots in the movie Alex is using the GoPro Hero 3+ and a mouth mount. He transfers the camera to get the behind view in this massive open barrel and then he casually looks back at the camera. Just the other day Alex messaged MyGo about our MyGo Mouth Mount for GoPro. We're excited to have him using our product and we can't wait to see the footage he is going to get.
